The owners of Osgood Brewing decided to connect a little bit of the past when looking to the future of Grandville. It was with a passion for their community, and the need for a unique place for locals and visitors to gather, they decided to create Osgood! What was once a plan intended for years down the road, came to be in September 2013, after a year and a half of planning and hard work. A city like Grandville, steeped in history, tradition, and community pride, now has a place to call its own, as friends, family, and people from the city gave so much of their time and talent to make it a reality.
Going back almost 200 years, Grandville's downtown district was the place where folks gathered to socialize, to shop, to work, and to celebrate. The brewery was named after the original Osgood Tavern, which opened in the 1830's and was located about one block away. Downtown Grandville recently went through a streetscape revitalization, and it was the perfect time, and the perfect place for a microbrewery to open up. We love the city, and we love the craft beer community we are surrounded by! There are a number of wonderful breweries located within just a few miles of Osgood, so it is a perfect stop on your brewery tour. Come on by, we would love to meet you!
We are located just off the Grandville / Jenison exits from I-196, only a few minutes from Grand Rapids, MI (Beer City, USA).
